Problem accessing a file over network from one computer

Hi,

Got a file, Time Clock, on our network that I am trying to drop a shortcut onto my boss' computer. Heres the catch, all the computers on the network, including his, can see and open the file. But his is the only one that when i put a shortcut on the desktop, or try to open on the network, it says "\\Inform_desk\TimeClock\winmg32.exe" "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." although 5 days ago he could use the program but now he can't. Any help please.
