Vista sees XP but can't connect

Hi,

I'm having the same problem as this post:

Vista sees but can not access XP

Have changed workgroups to same, installed the LLTD patch and I can see the other computers in the Vista network map but I cannot access them via Network.

I've successfully pinged the Vista computer using its IP address and can also access the XP computers files but typing \\192.168.0.5 in the address bar.

All suggestions appreciated.

Re: Vista sees XP but can't connect

EDIT: After typing this post the names of all the other computers on the network have just appeared in Network.

Trouble is when I try clicking on them I get the error:

"windows cannot access \\computername

check the spelling of the name. Othewise there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve the network problems click Diagnose.

Error code: 0x80070035
The network path was not found"

When I click Diagnose I get:

""COMPUTERNAME" is not a valid host name

Check the spelling of the name, make sure the computer is turned on and connected to the network or contact your network administrator.
