Access usb drive over internet
I have files that I consistently depend on to continue my research and work and I have it backed up on several computers but when I need to move from place to place I need to take my usb drive with me so I can update it and back up again once I'm done.
Is there a way I can keep my usb drive on one computer and access it over the internet on another computer without a usb server? This would help me out a lot, thanks. Posting my specs will be helpful. I'm running vista home basic service pack 2 3.33 ghz, 9400 gt nvidea, 2 gigs ddr2 My current set up for internet is directing my cricket broadband that dials out wirelessly for a connection. It is connected to my usb port. I direct this to my local ethernet port which is directed to my router(cross-over cable) giving wireless access to all. I'm using a usb hub with the usb drive, printer. Last edited by SteveHomoki; 09-25-2009 at 05:57 PM. Reason: forgot specs |

Re: Access usb drive over internet
bumpity bump bupdate I have successfully done what I wanted through logmein.com which allowed me to access my usb drive through it but now it's being picky and wants me to pay to access it again.
My problem still remains and I don't want to spend money usually since most of my tech issues I spend money on to complete or fix didn't require anything at all. Any idea on how to set up access to my usb drive over the internet? Even a clue or to the right direction would be helpful. |

Re: Access usb drive over internet
Ok well since no one has any clues which is quite weird because this isn't a huge leap into computer science I found this program "USB Redirector Lite" which I hope should be my answer. If anyone knows anything, let me know. Thanks.
