File access between 2 computers (alone) on intranet
Hello, I have this challenge,
System A in on an intranet. There are many other computers on that intranet and each of them have access to the internet (www). A switch/router ensures that System A and other other computers are on a particular intranet. System B is required to access files (excel files) saved on System A by going through the switch/router. Only System B should be allowed access to those files on System A. No other computer on the intranet should have access to System B or to System A. How do I approach this please? I have attached a diagram. |

Re: File access between 2 computers (alone) on intranet
On System A , make sure you share the file you are trying to access from System B . Right click on it > Sharing tab and configure the read/write permissions and make sure BOTH PC;s are in the same workgroup
