Drive size reported
Ok, so I have a 1tb usb drive shared off a ubuntu server, to my windows machine. Because it's a usb drive, to ensure the stabiliy of the share, I shared the whole /media folder (otherwise it does not always reconnect at logon).
The problem with this is that the network share now reports the size of Z: (/media/LaCie) as 9 with 900mb remaining space, (the amount of space left on the remote system drive. This makes it annoying when trying to copy over files over 900mb, because I have to force the copy manually, as it reports that there is not enough space. My question is, can I set windows xp (the client computer) to report that the share is larger so as to avoid that? |
