OS: Vista Home Prem 64-bits

NAS with problems

a few weeks ago, I bought a Belkin Wireless N+ Router
it works very good except for...

it has USB-port wich is meant to connect an external hard drive to so everybody in the network can access it

these are the problems:
  1. sometimes Windows asks an username & password, nothing works, it helps to restart the router and my computer
  2. I can't see some of the folders that were on the disk before I connected it to my router
if I remove these folders with my computer and then reconnect the drive to the router and then try to put them back on the drive, I get an error message from Windows: you are not allowed to do that (translated from Dutch...)
these folders contain photos (jpg), I can see other folders with photos

I have these problems on these 2 computers:
  1. Desktop: Win Vista Home Prem 64-bit (wired, reinstalled Windows a few days ago (the reinstallation has nothing to do with this problem)
  2. Notebook: Win Vista Home Prem 32-bits (wireless, MSI EX-700)

the HDD: an USB-to-IDE interface with an 80GB HD

I only use BitDefender Total Security 2008
