setting up FTP behind router?

Hey,
I'm trying to set up an FTP server on my computer so that I can grab things from it while im away.
The computer is behind a verizon router and I am using Serv-U to try to set up the server. I can't get serv-u to get passed "Domain is offline"

How do you set up a server behind a router? Is there an easy way im not seeing?

Using WinXP Pro SP3

You need to enable port forwarding for the FTP port. Here's a site with good instructions, just pick your router and your application. www.portforward.com
