[SOLVED] WorkGroup Problems

Well i am trying to setup an small network so i can be able to share the one printer we have and also be able to access files from other computers

but having some problems with getting one of my computers to see workgroups

Well My Main Computer is Running Win xp Pro sp3

and the one with the problem is win xp sp3

and another one with win xp sp3

right now on my main computer i can see my own computer's name and the one without the problem but it asks for password to access it

the one i can't see it on any of my computers and can't see any from it

Enable Simple File Sharing on all 3
Firewalls enables \file and printer is checked
Net Bios is Enable on all 3
All three have same WorkGroup name

Re: WorkGroup Problems

For each of the computers, try this.

Create a file in notepad named FIXANON.REG with the following contents:

You should have 3 boxes on the bottom in NOTEPAD.
1)Filename : FIXANON.REG
2)Save as type: all files
3)Encoding: ANSI
If you do not change it from txt type to All files type, then the file will actually be FIXANON.REG.txt, this won't accomplish the desired result.

------------------- Use text after this line -------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]
"restrictanonymous"=dword:00000000
------------------- Use text before this line -----------------

Double click on the file and say Yes to the merge into registry question.

Reboot the computer.
