Lost data when transferred to network drive
Please help!!!!
I transferred a subfolder to the main network drive so it will be a main folder rather than a sub and i lost half of the files in it. Why is that?

You could try using a file recovery tool on the drive

Thanks but I did that already, i just don't want it to happen again.
I jsut want to know if it's somehting about rights on the folder irself that we need to adjust. Also note that we have a different IT dept and believe me it's quite a process to even tell them what I need |

I don't know what would have caused it to do that, the only thing i can suggest is that instead of moving it you copy it that way you don't lose the data if the operation fails.
