Remote Support

I have a friend who is 86 and lives in Spain with a virus problem. I am in the UK. Please can someone explain which is the simplest method to access his computer remotely and how to do it? Thanks

Take a look at TeamViewer, it's the way I provide remote support. For the remote person, all they have to do is run a simple .EXE file, no installation required.

Teamviewer requires no signup, which makes it nice for effortless support. It's also free.

agreed, i just like logmein, because once its installed it requiers no user interaction to connect, if i recall teamviewer needs to be joined (clicking a link) each time they want support.

Thanks for that I have already downloaded TeamViewer which looks fairly straight forward but will look at logmein as well.

The only issue I have with logmein is that you have to do that installation, which is a stumbling block when I'm a long distance away from a new assistance request.

I have tried to use TeamViewer but could not get connected at all, do not know why, so although Logmein does need a file to be downloaded I have managed to connect to a friend who ran the file with me on the telephone so next I will try my friend in Spain

I've used Teamviewer in a variety of places, I can't imagine why you couldn't get connected. Maybe it has something to do with the overseas connection.

Consider Zolved, another similar application and they have a European server.
