Idea Folder Monitoring On A Network Drive

Ok

i have a 1TB WD My Book World and im usin the acess anywhere software with the option to share folders with ppl to share a share's folder on the drive so they can stick stuff in i need to save for them etc but my friend would find it funny to put harmful stuff in there without me knowing so i would like to set up a folder monitor that will give me a desktop alert to tell me that some thing has been added into the folder so atleast i can check it out to see what it is because atm he can add stuff in and im non the wiser until i check it manually

so basicaly im just askin for a folder monitor to work on windows vista than will show a pop up message if anything is added or changed wthin the folder

Thanks in advance

Re: Folder Monitoring On A Network Drive

That's going to be pretty difficult without continually querying the NAS. I'd suggest simply restricting the idiot "friend" that puts harmful stuff in your folders.
