Sometimes "on" sometimes "off"
Hey all, here's the rub:
I have a home network i'm having issues with: Netgear Modem/Wireless Router all-in-one XP SP3 PC hardwired into modem XP SP2 Laptop wireless Vista SP1 PC wireless w/ Linksys range expander Sometimes my shared items are viewable to all, sometimes they're not without anything really having changed. At the moment, i'm on the laptop, that can see the wired PC's shared files, but not the wireless vista pc. But when I try to view the work group, i get this: "name" group is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of services for this workgroup is not currently available. I have no idea what's going on, what makes my wireless vista pc be able to see EVERYTHING last night, though still get the above message on my laptop, to this morning, not being able to see anything on my vista wireless pc, and still getting this bloody message on the laptop. Ideas? |

Re: Sometimes "on" sometimes "off"
Check the Event Logs on the machines to see if there is any clue to what is happening.
