[SOLVED] Vista and XP Network Problem
Our network has 2 XP PCs on MSHome and 2 Vista PCs on Workgroup. All PCs can ping each other by name. Each sees all PCs in Network in Windows Explorer. All main C: drives are set up for Sharing. Windows Firewall disabled on the Vista PCs
Problem is that the 4 PCs give a "Permission denied" message in Windows Explorer when trying to see the files in C: drive on both the Vista machines, whereas the C: drives on the 2 XP PCs can be seen by any of the conputers on the network, which is what we want to happen with all the PCs. Can anyone suggest what is stopping us getting into the C: drive on the 2 Vista PCs? Must be some setting somewhere stopping us getting the permission. |
