Peer To Peer Using Printer Port

Hi guys, can you help me to rewire or reconfigure my printer cable (in parallel port) to connect two computers with Win98 OS. My laptop has defective floppy drive and has no USB, no Optical Drive. I want to transfer files from the laptop using the printer port. Can anybody help me. Thank you very much. Hope to hear from you guys very soon.

Does it have pcmcia card slots? You could use a compactflash card to transfer the files... it would be much easier to configure and would be many times faster. You would need a CF card, a card slot adapter and a reader for the PC, both of which you could probably find for less than 10 dollars.
