Port mapping help

alright, hopefully this makes sense...i've mapped a port through my 2wire router in order to receive faster downloads with my file transfer software. i did this using my PC with a USB connection to the router. this port was mapped correctly, and everything worked fine.

the problem started when i recently bought a laptop, i connected to the same router using wi-fi, and download using the same program. when i tell it the same port that has been successfully mapped through my PC connection, the program on my laptop tells me that the port is not mapped. what do i do? if i mapped a separate port, would that make a difference?

You can't map the same port to more than one machine behind your router.
