[SOLVED] Setting Up Home Network

I won't pretend I've already read through the forum archives, but I will start sifting for an answer after I post this.

I am trying to set up a home network and running into a brick wall.

Main computer is a desktop running Vista Ultimate SP1.
Also have 2 laptops: 1 runs XP Pro SP2, other runs XP Home SP2.
Router is a Linksys WRT54GS
The desktop and and XP Pro laptop are wired, XP Home laptop is wireless.

All are able to share the internet connection through the router without a problem.
------------------------------
The Vista desktop has Windows firewall running - File and Print sharing are enabled (file and print sharing are enabled on all 3 machines but the laptops are running Zonealarm Firewall).

In Network & Sharing Center I have turned on Network Discovery, File Sharing and Public Folder Sharing.

On one of the laptops (my test system - my girlfriend won't let me experiment on her laptop), I have run the network setup wizard, made sure the workgroup is the same (set to workgroup on vista and xp), and installed the LLTD protocol.
--------------------------------
From the Vista network map I can SEE the laptop, but can not access it.
From the XP machine, I can not even open WORKGROUP on the network. I get an access restriction error.

What am I missing or doing wrong?
