Never ask again

I clicked the never ask again button on downloading my files and now it puts them everywhere that i dont want them.

Is there any way to get it to start asking me again?

What browser are you using?

Firefox: Tools>Options>Main>Downloads>"Always ask me where to save files"

Internet Explorer: Install Firefox instead!!

In the article they talk about .exe files but i expect a similar fix can be done for any filetype you choose to download.

sorry does not work close thought i dont have registy unforunatly so is there any other way

Could try Opera

or K-Meleon

or Firefox

...all are excellent alternatives to IE.

Unfortunately microsoft has a habit of creating software which works badly and is dificult to fix! - though you could try reinstalling your whole operating system and remembering not to tick "never ask again" button

(i dont recommend that by the way its not worth the effort!)

Other than that im not sure mate. Maybe someone else knows how..

Did you try a system restore to a date prior to making that change?

Ok think i need to get a clearer idea.
do you have this problem with every site you download a file from or just one in particular?
And every type of file or just one type?

what do you mean by "the site"?

i tired the system restore it didnt work

i have been downloading video clips from a site they are .wmp files and i accidentally hit never ask again and now it is saving them to random spots that i cant find or not saving them at all
