Client PC SP2 loses shared printer at logout
OS: XP Home SP2 on client
Windows 2000 SP4 sharing printer on home network I am sharing a printer on a home network from a windows 2000 host using a workgroup. The XP client machine can see, connect to, and print to, the shared printer. However the connections are not persistent. When the user logs out the printer connection is lost. When the user logs back in the Icon is still present in control panel, printers & faxes. It has to be deleted and the printer re-connected to each time the user logs in. The problem is global to all users, including the administrator account on the client PC. |
