ok i do a new computer but my hard drive from my other computer has been put in the new.
on the old hard drive i have 6days worth of music on. one problem. the files don't want to open. i found the problem the files that wont open don't have artist. i want to know how i add a artist name onto a file. ![]()

Even if the ID3v1/v2 tags are missing the artist entry, they should still play.
What program have you been using to play this music? What file format is the music stored as (.MP3, .OGG, etc.)? One thing you may wish to do, especially since it is a new computer, is to make sure you have the most up-to-date codecs installed. This will resolve many audio and video problems you may run into. Download and install the K-Lite Codec Pack to obtain the latest stable A/V codecs. |
