[SOLVED] Mass messeging / memo inquiry
hello everybody,
As of right now I'm working in an office that has 7-8 XP-Pro workstations hooked up to a server running NT. It has a serperate internet server. Sometimes I'm responsible for updating a certain piece of software that requires exclusive access, ie, Only I can be running this program at the time of the update. Currently I have to run around the office and post up sticky notes on each monitor to makes sure the staff isn't using the program, or if they are, I have to makes sure they're logged off. . . . What I wanted to ask everyone was, is there a program out there that allows me to notify all staff from my own workstation to logg off, *I'm picturing like a msg messenger-like program that nudges everyone and displays a sticky/memo/chat window that show's them my message.* I remember someone telling me of such program....but I haven't had much luck on google... Please help! Cheers, Parttimetechguy |

Re: Mass messeging / memo inquiry
Absolutely, it is called the Messenger Service (not to be confused with MSN Messenger).
