Shared Folders Not Appearing

Hello

I'm running a network between 2 PC's both running Windows XP.
The problem I'm having is all the folders that I share from the main PC aren't appearing on the 2nd one, yet all the folders I share from the 2nd are appearing and are accessible on this one.
If I go to my network places on the 2nd PC and then view the workgroup and try to access this PC I get the message that access is denied. Any ideas?

You got file sharing allowed set on both computers. Its under file sharing and printer sharing in windows firewall I think

yeah its ticked on both under exceptions in the windows firewall

There is probably an additional area on the one of the computers that needs to have the permissions set to allow the other machine access. I run XP Pro on both of my machines at home - I know I had that same issue and that was what it ended up being - however, I don't recall where it was that I had to grant myself permission to veiw my own files.

Take a look at the post [SOLVED] Trouble sharing in workgroup - Johnwill had a post with info that may be able to solve your issue. It's actually just a few posts above yours.
