Vista only shows 31 folders in an XP share

Hello.
My home network is built like this:
[Vista PC]----[XP PC]---[Internet]
The XP PC is connected to the net and is sharing that connection, the Vista pc connects tothe net throu it, no problems there.
However, I have shared all the drives on the XP pc and when I connect to them from the vista pc I only see 31 folders inside a shared folder, even though there are 100's of folders there.
Any idea?

Sounds like a permissions issue. Is this XP-PRo? Are you using Simple Sharing? Check the file/folder permissions.

Yes, its xp-pro.
And if by simple sharing you mean rightclicking the drive/folder and choosing share then yes as well.
Where can I check the file/folder permissions?
As a note, a 3rd pc that I have with XP-pro on it can see the content of the shares fine.

In Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, View, scroll down to the end of the list and check in the box for:

Use simplefile sharing (Recommended)

ok, it seems that this is not a share problem but a drive problem, the folders disapeared from the XP-pro pc, however acourding to the disk size and free space the data is still there, very wierd.

Well, that's a horse of a different color, I think you'll have to address that first.
