[SOLVED] recognized computer, unrecognized drives
I have two computers (both running windows xp home, sp2). My desktop is recognizing the laptop's shared drives and it's own shared drives in my network places. The laptop is recognizing its own shared drives and the desktop, but not the shared drives on the desktop. I am using a wireless router (belkin wireless g plus mimo router) to connect (the desktop is connected via cord, the laptop is connected wirelessly). I had them recognizing each other before i had to reformat the desktop. When I ran the network setup wizard, i used the exact same setup on both. What do I need to do?

Re: recognized computer, unrecognized drives
For each of the computers, let's see this.
Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following two commands, one at a time, followed by the Enter key: NBTSTAT -n IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: recognized computer, unrecognized drives
Neither of them are recognized as the master browser, this is one problem.
I'd start by disabling ALL the firewalls and see if that helps. Can you ping by computer name to the other computer?
