having a problem with file sharing from a pc to mac
I am unable to share a file from a PC running XP to a MAC running OS X. I have the file shared on the PC with full control permissions for everyone. The PC and MAC are connected via a hub and I am able to ping from the PC to the MAC and from the MAC to the PC. The IP addresses are 192.168.x.x
I have enabled file-sharing on both machines and I've disabled the firewall on XP. When I try to connect to the PC from the MAC using smb:// I get a message that says unable to connect to the server. I also tried configuring the mount on the MAC but still nothing. Please help! Thanks |
