Suprised Server Storage & Mapping problem...Again

In this forum I read where someone else had this same problem. So I'd like to say ahead of time that I've tried the IRPStackSize solution, with various values from 0 to 50 and multiples of 3 with NO success.

I've got 4 computers on a home network. 3 have XP Home, 1 XP Pro.

I've just added a 500GB Seagate Freeagent external USB harddrive. I'm going to use about 60% of its capacity for media. The other 40%, I'm intending to use as backup storage for all my puters.

On the Seagate, I've thus far created 3 partitions: #1 is for MEDIA, #2 is for the backup of the host computer, #3 is for my laptop. Both the host and my dell laptop have xp home.

Right now I'm able to see shared files between the two computers and access them if necessary from one computer to/from the other. The partition on the Seagate drive/partition I'm intending to use as a backup can be seen in My Network Places on the Dell lapton. But if I click on the folder from the Dell, I get that error "Not enough server storage......."

When I get on the eMachine - which the Seagate is directly connected, I can create and go inside folders I've set up as test folders. Those folders which designate to "Share" are viewable from the Dell.

When I try to Map the drive/partition from Dell i get the error again. Again, I can browse shared folders on the C drive of the host(eMachine) just fine from the Dell. It the drives/partitions of the Seagate I cant connect to on the Dell.

My anti-virus software is AVG 7.5 Pro and I am intending to use the latest version of Acronis as my backup software.

BTW, the computer which has XP Pro is turned off in all of this.

If anyone can help me with this, to say I'd appreciate it is a drastic understatement. I've been searching and modifying for hours.

Thanks
