plsss can some1 tell me how to password my shared folder,so that when i try to access it from the another computer it will prompt for pass word.

my operating system is windows xp
i am connected to a lan of over a hundred PC
I want to be able to access my shared folder from any where in my network but i dont want other to have access or my shared folder shud prompt for pass word

XP-Pro? You'll need to set the file permissions properly, but without knowing more about the network, it's hard to be specific.

my network is a lan of 150 computers,i want to be able to run and access my computer from anywhere in the network but at same time clear my ip from the run command and when anybody access my ip let my shared folder prompt for pass word.i using xp pro
