P2P blocked and some websites

Hi,

I hope this is the appropriate place to post this new thread.

I am using Win XP and in the last 3-4 months and different times on my PC, limewire has suddenly stopped working. It doesn't seem to be able to establish a network connection. I contacted CA security center which is the virus program i have and they have not been able to conclude anything. i would like to avoid reinstalling everything.
I recently installed Ares and it establishes a connection (takes some minutes) and displays search results but cant manage to download anything.

also, www.orkut.com and recently, www.mail.yahoo.com have stopped working on both my browsers- firefox and IE. www.yahoo.com doesn't work on firefox but works on IE so i get into yahoo.com on IE and then access mail through the link but the direct link wont work.

are these problems linked in any way? y affecting only certain websites/programs? could windows updates be a factor?

look forward to a response. Thankz

Re: P2P blocked and some websites

Please review the Tech Support Forum Rules & Conduct, and you'll see we provide no support for P2P applications here at TSF.

Issue is solved for me.
