HLP PCAnywhere : HOW TO ??? :( :(
Hi everyone !
![]() i'm experiencing problems Using PCanywhere , what i want to do with , is to connect to my Friend's PC ( That Live in another Country ) Over an Internet Connection . First Of all , is that Possible ? i'm connected to internet Using a Network Adapter thruogh an ADSL modem/Router , and my friend is using WIFI ( laptop ) , but both of us , when running PCanywhere , the Programs detects our LOCAL IPS , and whenever we start a HOST or Remote , it starts scanning the LAN , and finds nothing . the question is , how to make the PCanyhwere UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS AND INTERNET CONNECTION and that it should go through it to Find the HOST !? ![]() ![]() Thanks :) PS : i'm not having problems using PCanywhere on the LAN , it find wihtout any problem any PC with the same RANGE IP connected using a Hub/Switch . |

You need to forward ports at the remote end.
Visit www.portforward.com and using the exact model of your router, you can look up the procedure to configure for PCA.

yes , it just mentioned to Forward 2 Ports , Tried after that , and it still doesn;t Work :)
Tried adding my Friends "Connection IP" to the Search Host option , but Still without any success :) u know , my problem is that PCAnywhere detects the Wrong ip ... Thanks again for your help |

Remember, if you're connecting to your friend's machine, HE has to forward the ports through his router and/or firewall.
