Bitcomet eating bandwidth

Been looking through various forums and FAQs, but can't seem to find a solution to my problem.

The problem is that whenever I'm downloading using Bitcomet, I can't do anything else on the internet. Browse websites, play games, stream or downloade anything - no matter how little bandwidth Bitcomet is actually "using". I've got a capacity of ~300kb/s, but even if Bitcomet is only downloading with 30kb/s I can't use the last of my bandwidth on anything else.

BitComet will eat alot of bandwidth.
