[SOLVED] File backup

When I back up my files using Nero onto a RW Disc I notice they are read only files. My question is can the files be transferred in a format that will let me use my RW disc like a large floppy disc. I have the option available in Nero to do this but when I try with an empty RW disc the function is not active, I am using Nero 6. The files I back up are in my documents.

Anyone help.

Since files on a CD are R/O, that's normal. However, you can simply set their attributes back to R/W when you move them off the CD.

The only R/W method is packet writing like INCD, but I do NOT recommend this for backup, it's the most unreliable way to store data on CD-RW media.
