Unable to download mp3
Hello, this is my first time here and, admittedly so, I was drawn by the prospect of aide. Before you tell me to support the musicians (which I do), this has nothing to do with pirating (except in the traditional fashion).
Short and simple I cannot download mp3 files. My two roommates can. There could be something on my computer or perhaps my wireless. While trying to download several applications (over the course of the past month) including Everquest 2, Steam client, Counter-Strike and the free version of Ad-aware, I have not been able to finish them. They would always stop at the same percentage. I skirted around this by downloading on my friends computer, but now I am a little frustrated since I know what is happening. While downloading Everquest 2, through the SOE client, it displays the file being downloaded. Up until the .mp3's, she was doing dandy, but 3.3 gigs in and the first mp3, everything came to screeching halt. I was able to download other non-mp3 files past the collection, but now am stuck on those. Smelling sea food in the air, I tried to download snippets of mp3's from various sites--with no luck. I realize I can get those from my friend, I think I will, but I don't want my computer limping around. My poor baby! I have run my anti-virus (Alwil's Avast and AVG) as well as Panda's online scan. Nothing. I have run anti-spyware (Spybot and AVG, while Panda detected a 9 tracking cookies, it would not remove them and I did not care enough to do it manually). Windows' firewall is turned off. Tried reinstalling the wireless software. Nothing. I also tried google, but that brought up P2P problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Granted I am not a computer guru, I am still at my wits end. Many thanks in advance, Cider Last edited by cider : 11-07-2007 at 07:25 PM. |
