Computer as server?
I use w2k pro (locally all rights) on a corp network. My division wants to setup its own web presence for client support. There are a breed of "mini-servers", I've looked, on-line, at 5-6 of them. One I am interested in is small, has mobo/cpu/ram etc, 500 gig, and runs linux with file sharing, http, ftp, and mail. They are designed for soho, but can they be made to work while my computer is attached to the corp network? What if I have a separate phone line pulled in specifically for it and outside connectivity?
Really open to suggestions!
