PCanywhere remote file access HELP PLEASE
hello, I'm currently not at home, but I desperately need to access some documents that I saved on my home computer... It is literally a matter of 10000's of $$... No-one is currently at home either so I cant get them to fax or email them to me... I have however left my PC on and its connected to the internet as we're on broadband. I don't actually know the IP adress, but naturally I have the phone number, adress and the email adress associated with the PC.
I downloaded Symantect PCAnywhere which I've heard good things about, but as the host computer isnt running the program, but it is on, and logged on,its quite difficult. Can anyone with some experience with pcanywhere help me find the IP adress, and get it working. I can't call my service provider as theyre currently closed, and its too important to wait. Regards, Korrupt |

Re: PCanywhere remote file access HELP PLEASE
It's not going to happen without having something installed at home. Another factor is if there's a router between you and the computer at home, you'd have to do port forwarding.
The short answer is, it's not going to happen. I will say, for $10,000 or so, I'll hop a plane and fix you right up!
