need help! Firewire and file transferring question
This is probably a wrong place to post my questions, but I'm new so bear with me (or can this be moved to a place where it should be?) Hopefully someone can help me with these brainers as I'm not the brightest person when it comes to this stuff.
1. I want to download an image file, size 65 MB, and broadband 19 mbit/s. How fast can I download the file? 2. I took a photo with a digital cam. The file is 20 mb in size. I'm using Firewire to transfer the file to my computer. How long time does the transferring take? (and what speed to choose?) Someone pleeeze! :) Last edited by lizard_queen; 04-15-2007 at 03:00 PM. |

Re: need help! Firewire and file transferring question
i'd guess 28s and 0.21s. thats assuming that the firewire is running at 800mb/s. i'm not very good at number conversions, why do you ant to know anyway?

Re: need help! Firewire and file transferring question
I've moved this question as you'll find a few more knowledgable people on the subject here.
![]() 1. Usually the max speed is divided by 8. Work that out - my brain hurts ![]() 2. Not sure - hence moving thread.
