Remote connection

Hi, is there a way I can remotly connect to a computer on my network without getting a third party program? I have xp pro on my desktop and home on my laptop. Now my next question is kindy sketchy so no one has to answer if they dont want to but is there a way I can connect to another computer across town? I know its hacking but its for a good reason, a woman at work suspects her husband of cheating and just needs his email password. The first question is for my private use though. Thanks alot.

My System

You can remote into another computer with Windows Remote Desktop Connection.
http://technet2.microsoft.com/Window....mspx?mfr=true
You can use it to connect to any computer on your network or connect to any computer over the internet (if it is enabled on the remote computer).

However we cannot assist you on hacking into another computer for personal benifit. Hacking into another computer without permission is illegal.
So that part of the conversation needs to stop there.

I think we'll just close this one on the "hacking" note.
