limitted or noconnectivity

good day....

I have two computers connected to a switch.
when i connect the first with IP address automatic it shows that i am connected 100mbs but the other,also using automatic IP it shows limmited or no connectivity.

I using both XP home

Where do you think was the problem?

What is connected to the switch besides the two computers Do you have a broadband modem?

hi,

no other device connected to my switch only the computers. My purpose is to share my printer and files.

In that case, I suggest you assign static IP addresses.

PC1:
IP address: 192.168.0.2
Subnet Address: 255.255.255.0

PC2:
IP address: 192.168.0.3
Subnet Address: 255.255.255.0

That should get them working.
