File Back Ups for End Users
I need help with, as an admin, retrieving files (such as Favorites, My Documents, Desktop Icons, Preferences and Shortcuts etc.) from multiple users and back them up on a seperate server, or CD. I'm replacing our current CPU's with Dell Celeron Dual Processors, but I need to figure out a way to back up those preferences and files from a remote admin computer, so that I don't have to go to each individual unit and manually burn all the information to CD, especially because some of those CPU's don't have burning capabilities.
Can you help me? I'd appreciate it. Ronald Craig rain_king_kc@yahoo.com |

You could run a simple scheduled backup utility on each machine that periodically backs up to the server.
Without knowing anything about the network architecture, it's hard to offer any more specific suggestions.
