xp to os x ftp random loss of connection
I have an xp professional PC regularly (every five minutes) FTPing jpgs and txt to an os x machine running WebStar. These files are overwritten each time. The connection is frequently dropped in the middle of a jpg yielding a bogus jpg that can no longer be overwritten. I have a del bat file that runs once per day to limp along but each time the connection is lost, WebStar accumulates one ftp user and when the maximum number of users is reached, no ftping is allowed (this happens weekly). I am using bat files and scheduler to automatically ftp my files. I am new here so perhaps I should post this under a different category? Any thoughts as to how I can make this setup run more smoothly? I would like a fix and not a bunch of band-aids...which is what i have now. Thank you!
