Multiple OS's and 2 different word processors
I have a Win 98 server with a D drive containing 7000 docs created in Office 97 pro. The D drive has read only rights and full access rights with only these 2 password levels. I am in the process of upgrading old 98 workstations to new machines with XP pro and word 2003. When I try using a new XP workstaion with full rights and Word 2003 I can access the 98 server's doc's and open them but cannot "SAVE AS" in the 98 server. It says I do not have permission or "using / \ characters". I am not using these characters to save as and I am syntaticlly correct in renaming the new doc. When I use the original config (98 w/s ) it works as designed.Any suggestions?
