3COM networking components
I have a dilemma with some odd network card componants from 3COM that I might be able to get my hands on soon, with the intent of trying to re-sell them. In order to do so, it would be best that I know what they are, what they are for, and generally more about them than I've been able to find online.
The products are: http://www.ictcompany.com/store/prod...=3CR990B-FX-97 http://www.ictcompany.com/store/prod...?item=3C996-SX http://www.ictcompany.com/store/prod...=3C905B-FX(sc) Could anyone either help me figure out everything possible about these things, or refer me to some good info on them online? |

Looks like they're fiber NIC's, what exactly do you want us to tell you. If you click on the details link in your posted descriptions, it'll tell you all you want to know.

I totally missed that little details link.
But, I am mostly a computer novice--especially with things beyond desktop PC's. So, as best I can tell, these things are PCI cards for servers that allow for a fiber-optic network connection and offer some offloading of security processing from the main cpu. That mostly right? What I need to figure out most, they being not for personal use but for resale, is where they could be sold--or if they could at all. They seem like a pretty specialized product, so I'm guessing that they wouldn't sell well on eBay? If anyone could either explain to me better what these things offer a 'solution' for, or have any idea what online venue would connect me to the most appropriate audience for their sale, I would be grateful. |

Yep. I'd give eBay a try first, since you see everything from trinkets to houseboats being sold there.
