Usb 1.0 > Usb 2.0
I have a powered USB 1.0 hub & am thinking of replacing it with a USB 2.0 hub, to speed up scanning. However, my computer predates USB 2, & the 1.0 hub just connects to one of its (presumably USB 1.0) ports. My question is - can I just replace the original hub with a USB 2.0 hub & get full USB 2 functionality? Or do I have to replace the ports on the machine (or get a new motherboard?)
System Type X86-based PC System Model P4X266-8233/A OS Windows XP Home Any help would be appreciated. (As you can see..... where it comes to USBs I'm a dummy) ![]() |
