DIY Cat5 Cables

So I strip away the outer housing revealing the 4 pairs. Do I then need to strip the tips of the individual wires before inserting into the connector or is that not necessary. I'm going off the instructions from this site and although it doesn't say to strip them, I don't want to assume you don't.

btw, sorry if it's already been posted, but ever since I've come to this site, I get this error almost every time I try to search:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes) in /home/tsf/public_html/search.php on line 1155

Do not strip the individual conductors. There are tiny metal bits in the RJ-45 connector that pinches into the conductors when you crimp it on.

Hi groom, ref the error message above. I've seen something similar when the search is too wide, and returns a large number of posts. Try searching using only one or two words.
