specific internet cable
Is a specific cable used for internet access and others for LAN, for example? Or is any cable that fits in the LAN port ok for internet access? I tried to start up internet, but there was a message that no cable was connected. The cable I used to have for internet access looked somewhat different, but this cable has some extra rubber at the connectors.

Re: specific internet cable
There is two types of cable they both look the same but are wired differently.
The crossover cable is used to connect two computers together and the Patch cable is to connect router/modems to computers

Re: specific internet cable
Do you have an example of both types of cables of how they look like exactly?
I'm not sure how the internet connection was installed, but I'm quite sure that the internet connection was send to a network hub, and from it multiple computers could be connected. Other computers have been connected to it, but I'm not sure what type of cable was used. I don't think that a router is being used. |
