Belkin N1 Wireless Notebook Card problems
Hi all,
I bought myself a new Belkin (boo hiss lol) N1 Wireless Notebook card this afternoon and am trying to install it on my other laptop which is running Windows XP SP3 however after a successful installation and restart with the card plugged in my first problem arose as it wouldn't load my desktop page and froze with just my background picture displaying. I removed the adapter and restarted and it started fine, then i plugged the wireless card back in again and immediately the Belkin Wireless program opened where you are supposed to be able to select your network and correct. The main problem is that when the program opens it doesn't display any networks and when i try to change settings on the options page it doesn't enable to save settings buttons as though the program isn't working? I've tried multiple reinstallations and also tried updating the drivers directly from the Belkin website and also through the Device Manager screen via the control panel with no success. The adapter itself is lighting up ok and flashes as if it was trying to locate connections when first plugged in but that's about all i can get out of it. Can anyone offer me anything i can try to get this sorted please? Many thanks in advance! Adam |
