Troubles with Internet Speed, FTPs, Direct Dls, and more

Ok So about week ago, everything started going to hell. I can't connect to peers on torrents downloads. For example, I tried downloading the official torrent of AION Online and I can't see any peers (seeders or downloads) which I know for a fact that there is over 4k in total if not more. I can't see any peers on my fedora or ubuntu ISO torrent either. BUT sometimes a torrent will work and download at good speeds, but not often. Direct downloads from websites are also terrible slow. I have also tried to download AION zip from my friend's FTP and I am getting about 130 KB which is terrible. Also, I'm getting disconnected a lot from BattleNet on Starcraft (but this might just be an issue with Battlenet. I'm not sure).
How can I begin to fix this?

My Specs:
OS: Both Windows Vista and Linux OSs
ISP: Comcast 16 mbs down and 6 up
Router: Linksys WRT54GS Wireless
My friend's Spec (FTP): 10 mbs down 10 up

BTW, before all of this, my torrents downloads was fine. I was getting good speed and connacting to all peers on the torrents and direct DLs was working fine as well. I have not changed anything to my router in the past week.
