I started to have the same problem. My questions are: your suggestion to disable LAN on boot would prevent me from connecting to a LAN? Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

This will just prevent the machine from trying to boot over the LAN, it doesn't affect network connectivity. It's the first thing I disable on any machine I use, since I don't use that functionality.
