Re: Was just curious.

Yeah, it is a 1 Gbit NIC, so there really isn't anything that you could upgrade to.

Re: Was just curious.

I think there are probably a lot of other components that could use upgrading before the NIC.

Re: Was just curious.

If you are looking to upgrade i would start with Proc, RAM, Hard drives, Video cards. Perhaps if you gave us your hardware specs and told us what your goal is we can be more helpful.

Re: Was just curious.

I have my specs listed in my system only change has been in video card, i went from an 8600GT to a 8400GS which is temporary until i getta new PSU. Im a prett big gamer and am oin to start learning encoding and video things from my friend to help him out. So im mainly going to be using this for medium/high end graphics/gaming with some schoolwork which i could do on another comp lol.

Thank you very much in advance!

Re: Was just curious.

You got this computer from Dell? You need to be careful about which parts you buy. Almost everything in their systems is proprietary and is not standard. Like you can't just go buy any old PSU because they will not fit in the case. But i would agree the first thing you should look at is a new PSU, you will need a lot more than 375 watts. Minimum for a gaming machine i would say is 600 watts.

Also, would suggest that you get another hard drive for more space (SATA). And then you should look at getting a quality sound card. The ones built in on the board aren't too good and you will notice a big difference in sound quality.

How much RAM are you looking to get? I believe Vista only supports up to 4 GB for the 32 bit OS, and 8 GB for 64 bit.
