Post linksys annoying problem

I have a Linksys compact wireless-G Broadband router model no.WRT54GC
recently i have been having a really annoying problem with linksys whenever i want to connect to the internet with my notebook it say's connected but does not gain packets only sent packets but when i connect to wireless on my other notebook it works perfectly fine. The only way my other notebook connects is by plugging the Ethernet cable directly from the modem to the notebook (and now that also has a little tiny bit o trouble with more sent packets than recieved)

ps. i never had this problem before
help please

Re: linksys annoying problem

Remove all the stored wireless profiles in the problem notebook and search for new networks. Make sure you use the proper encryption key to reconnect.

Re: linksys annoying problem

View available wireless networks, then click on the link on the left for change the order of preferred networks. Remove any profiles there, then connect to a "new" network and enter the key.

Re: linksys annoying problem

I have to assume you have the incorrect encryption key, or your drivers don't support the encryption method you have programmed. You're saying that you have two machines that don't connect wirelessly?

Have you reset the router? Do either of these machines work on any wireless network?
