Weird problem with my router.

Hey I'm new to this forum, but I am in need of some assistance here's my problem:

I am using the DLink ebr-2310 wired router(http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=478) it's fairly new and what happens is when I browse the internet sometimes it will lag out and not even load to the next page, and it will also cause lag to my dads computer and I have to wait like a minute before it gets stable again but the thing is I use ventrilo, and when my browser lags out like that I dont lag out of anything else, I can still talk in vent, ect. The other things that happen are when I load games I go to the server query and I click find servers, and it loads about 30-40 servers before lagging out when it lags out i cant connect to any type of server or anything also when i load steam it lags out. anyways thats my problem it would be a lot of help if some1 could assist me. Thanks

Re: Weird problem with my router.

Some things you can try here.
  1. Update the firmware to the latest version available on the manufacturer's site.
  2. Reset the router to factory defaults and reconfigure.
  3. Update the network drivers on your computer to the latest available.

Many times these measures will resolve a lot of intermittent issues.

Re: Weird problem with my router.

If you can't do anything to the router, I'm not sure what to suggest.

Re: Weird problem with my router.

Hard to say what the issue is. Who did configure the router?
