Ohk let me start by saying im not the best with computers... So i have no clue what to do...
But this is the problem, I recently got this Comp (HP Pavilion) from a friend... I caught a pop-up virus from this site (manga volume), (dont go on it)... By Accident <--- Key word, used system Recovery and when i woke the next day, It was back to its default state... Soo basically nothing is working, I currently dont have any internet connection, Because the (Netgear WG111v3) doesnt even show up on the comp. Ohhh also i dont even have a modem or anything... Soo there is no other way for me to have/get a connection... And the reason im even om the internet right now is because im on my WII (lol) pleading for help... (but the real thing i wanna know is if i get the discs for the Netgear thingy and reinstall it will it work n find a connection) Srry i wrote soo much and ty in advance... Im just Hopeless at doing this alone =/, |

Re: System Recovery + Netgear WG111v3= Bad =[
Well, since you have a WG111v3, I'd load the drivers for that adapter, obviously the first step.

Re: System Recovery + Netgear WG111v3= Bad =[
Maybe you can tell us what the make/model of your modem and router is to start?
Let's see this as well. Hold the Windows key and press R, then type devmgmt.msc Please respond to all the following steps.
Finally, let's see this when connected with a cable to your modem or router. Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command: Note that there is a space before the /ALL, but there is NOT a space after the / in the following command. IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.
